Daeheungsa Temple seated on a vast mountainous basin is largely divided into three areas: southern compound, northern compound and annex compound (Pyochungsa, Daegwangmyeonjeon and Museum). Myeongbujeon, Eumjinjeon, Sansingak, Chimgyeru and Baekseoldang are situated centering on Daeungbojeon in the northern section, while Yonghwadang, Bonghyanggak and Gaheoru are situated surrounding on Cheonbuljeon in the southern section. Also, Pyochungsa, a shrine dedicated to Great Monk Samyeong, and Daegwangmyeongjeon are situated behind the southern section.
